Hematology​/Oncology Physician

Locums - Johnstown, Pennsylvania Hematology/Oncology Coverage (IMLC Welcome)

Position Overview:

Short-term Hematology/Oncology coverage opportunity in a collaborative, consultative hospital setting. This assignment offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic, inpatient consults, and shared call responsibilities, with strong APP support and no admission requirements.

Coverage Dates:

• April 13, 2026 - April 17, 2026

Schedule & Practice Setting:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm office hours

• Possible travel Monday and Wednesday to outreach clinic (approximately 30 minutes from main campus), 8:00am - 4:00pm

• Daily hospital rounds and consults during assigned week

• Weekend hospital rounds/consults on assigned weekends (Saturday and Sunday, approximately 4 hours onsite per day)

• Oversee and collaborate with APPs

• Consulting service only - no hospital admissions required

• 30-minute call response time required

Call Details:

• Call Ratio: 1:2

• After-hours hospital call coverage

• May need to address critical clinic values or urgent patient matters outside 8:00am - 4:00pm

• No requirement to return onsite after hours

• Average callback volume varies depending on circumstances

• Medical Oncology call generally limited to outlined hours

Clinical Environment:

• Trauma Level I facility

• Assigned and unassigned patient consults

• EMR:
  Epic

• Orientation packet provided for all new providers

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology

• Active Pennsylvania license required

• IMLC accepted

• Fellowship preferred
