Ongoing need beyond listed dates.WHEN PHYSICIAN MUST COME ONSITEThe on-call OB is called in for:

Trial of labor after cesarean (TOLAC)
Cesarean/antepartum rounding if no MFM on call
Maternal transports
If requested by CNM, ED, or consulting physician

Physician does not need to:

Round on OB patients managed solely by CNMs
Sign off on CNM care unless case meets escalation criteria

AVERAGE ONSITE TIME (ESTIMATED)

Consult: D&C: 1 hour
Laparoscopy/C-section: up to 2 hours
TOLAC:
Remain until delivery
Average total onsite time typically does not exceed 6 hours
