Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Department: Maintenance

Supervisor: Maintenance Manager

Position involves practical, hands‑on engineering, problem solving, and supervising technical staff.

• Routine maintenance of plant, equipment, and machinery
• Designing maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods
• Scheduling planned and unplanned work
• Diagnosing breakdown problems
• Directing and/or instructing and supervising Maintenance Technicians
• Familiar with standard maintenance methodologies, equipment design, installation, and project management
• Recordkeeping
• Must communicate with supervisors and coworkers
• Supervising projects while working hands on with team
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Other duties as assigned

• Education: 4‑year postsecondary education or equivalent experience.
  Required: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Experience: At least 5 years mechanical engineer experience.

  Skills:
  
  Equipment installation and preventative‑predictive maintenance knowledge. Able to read blueprints and technical documentation with understanding process operations and maintenance. Basic knowledge of Windows, Excel, Outlook, Access, Word, and CAD systems.

Employee will receive job specific training including safety, work rules, ethics, compliance, computer system, and other related topics.

Performance evaluations will be completed by the immediate supervisor by ongoing assessment of proficiency and performance.
