Production Technician
We are looking for a hands-on Production Technician to build small electronic and mechanical parts. This role involves cable assembly, soldering, and basic testing work. You will follow drawings and instructions and work as part of a small, friendly production team in a clean, first-shift environment.
What You Will Do- Assemble small electronic and mechanical parts using hand tools
- Build cable harnesses by cutting, stripping, crimping, routing, and soldering wires
- Perform soldering on electronic parts and cables (fine, detailed work)
- Work with fiber-optic components when required
- Read and follow electrical and mechanical drawings and work instructions
- Measure and check parts using calipers, gauges, and tape measures
- Test assemblies using meters, cable testers, and pull testers
- Enter basic production and test data into the computer
- Follow safety and quality rules, including ESD practices
- Keep your work area clean and organized
- Work closely with team members to meet daily production goals
- Experience assembling small parts in a production or manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with cable or wire harness assembly
- At least 6 months of soldering experience
- Ability to read and understand electrical or mechanical drawings
- Experience using hand tools (wire strippers, crimpers, soldering iron, heat gun)
- Good attention to detail and quality
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Comfortable working as part of a team
- Experience with electronics assembly or testing
- Experience working with fiber-optic components
- Familiarity with test equipment like pull testers or cable testers
- Experience measuring parts using gauges and calipers
- 6 months to 3 years of experience in:
- Electronics assembly
- Cable or wire harness assembly
- Production or manufacturing technician roles
- Builds quality assemblies with little rework
- Follows drawings and instructions correctly
- Meets daily production goals
- Records work accurately
- Works well with the team and follows safety rules
- Clean, climate-controlled production facility
- Small team (about 20 people) with a friendly culture

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Johnstown, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $20.00/hr.
