Production Technician

We are looking for a hands-on Production Technician to build small electronic and mechanical parts. This role involves cable assembly, soldering, and basic testing work. You will follow drawings and instructions and work as part of a small, friendly production team in a clean, first-shift environment.

• Assemble small electronic and mechanical parts using hand tools
• Build cable harnesses by cutting, stripping, crimping, routing, and soldering wires
• Perform soldering on electronic parts and cables (fine, detailed work)
• Work with fiber-optic components when required
• Read and follow electrical and mechanical drawings and work instructions
• Measure and check parts using calipers, gauges, and tape measures
• Test assemblies using meters, cable testers, and pull testers
• Enter basic production and test data into the computer
• Follow safety and quality rules, including ESD practices
• Keep your work area clean and organized
• Work closely with team members to meet daily production goals

• Experience assembling small parts in a production or manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience with cable or wire harness assembly
• At least 6 months of soldering experience
• Ability to read and understand electrical or mechanical drawings
• Experience using hand tools (wire strippers, crimpers, soldering iron, heat gun)
• Good attention to detail and quality
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Comfortable working as part of a team

• Experience with electronics assembly or testing
• Experience working with fiber-optic components
• Familiarity with test equipment like pull testers or cable testers
• Experience measuring parts using gauges and calipers

• 6 months to 3 years of experience in:
• Electronics assembly
• Cable or wire harness assembly
• Production or manufacturing technician roles

• Builds quality assemblies with little rework
• Follows drawings and instructions correctly
• Meets daily production goals
• Records work accurately
• Works well with the team and follows safety rules

• Clean, climate-controlled production facility
• Small team (about 20 people) with a friendly culture

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Johnstown, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $20.00/hr.
