American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position at a Level 1 Trauma Center, requiring a PA or compact RN license and prior OR experience.

• Work in the Operating Room / Surgical Services department of a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Serves all patient age groups across specialties including Ortho, Gyne, OB, Plastics, General, Cardiovascular, Neuro, Urology, Breast, and Podiatry
• Unit has 22 beds with 1:1 patient ratios
• Uses Epic EHR
• 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Varied day shifts including 9-5, 11-7, 1-9, 3-11, and weekend daylight shifts
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend or as needed
• On-call responsibilities required one to two times per week in 8-hour increments
• Floating required as needed

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and CPI/HWC
• 1-2 years of RN experience required
• Prior Operating Room experience required
• Charge RN experience, Level 1 trauma experience, and robotic surgery experience preferred
• Must be 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel rate
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• AHA certifications required

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties in a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Blue scrubs provided; casual attire not permitted
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Candidates must have complete and clear screenings prior to start
• PA-specific background clearances required, including Child Abuse History Clearance, Department of Human Services Fingerprinting, FBI/Department of Aging Fingerprinting, and PATCH State Police Clearance
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
• First-time travelers may be considered
