American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry/PCU RN with cardiac cath experience for a night shift travel assignment at a Level 1 Trauma Center.

• Work in the Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit (Cardiac) of a Level 1 Trauma Center hospital
• Cardiac geriatric patient population with diagnoses including chest pain, MI, open heart, Watchman, TAVR, post-op cardiac cath, and post-op pacer
• RN to patient ratio of 1:5, NA ratio of 10-12 (days) and 20-22 (nights)
• Uses pacer and arterial lines (Alines) equipment
• EPIC EMR used
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required based on unit staffing needs
• No on-call requirements
• Not normally floated, though may float to 1:1 assignments depending on needs

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• 2+ years of experience preferred
• Cardiac nursing experience required, including cardiac cath experience
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

• Provide nursing care for cardiac patients including those post cardiac cath, open heart, and pacer procedures
• Scrubs of any color accepted; hoodies not permitted
• Only nose stud piercings are allowed, no other visible piercings
• Candidates must complete PA-specific background clearances including Child Abuse History Clearance, DHS Fingerprinting, FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting, and PATCH State Police Clearance prior to start
• All screenings must be clear and complete prior to start
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
