This is a part‑time
, on‑site Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant role based in the Greater Chicago Area (Itasca, IL). The Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant will support day‑to‑day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations, and data entry into accounting software. Responsibilities include assisting with the preparation and maintenance of financial records, organizing invoices and supporting documentation, and helping to generate basic financial reports.
The role will also involve coordinating with internal teams and external partners to resolve discrepancies, maintain accurate records, and support periodic audits or reviews. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate, timely financial information in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
- Strong foundation in basic Accounting and Finance principles, with the ability to apply them in day‑to‑day bookkeeping tasks.
- Comfort with Accounting Software (e.g., Quick Books, or similar) and proficiency in entering, tracking, and reviewing financial data.
- Ability to assist in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and related reports under guidance from senior accounting staff.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools for organizing and analyzing financial information.
