Job Description

Senior Accounting Analyst opportunity that offers excellent benefits including fully paid for family medical / dental benefits and tuition reimbursement. Sr. Accountant to join our team in Alsip, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for various general ledger activities, inventory accounting /analysis with the ability to grow and handle variety of accounting duties. This role is particularly suited to those with a background in manufacturing or distribution.

• General accounting responsibilities for period-end and year-end close including creating journal entries and reconciling accounts.
• Accounting and analysis of expense variance reports, and present operating results.
• Support the monthly physical inventory accounting and reconciliation process of finished goods.
• Collaborate with supervisors on expense analysis, planning, and budget variance.
• Constantly seek to improve existing processes to align with best practices, reduce workload, and improve reporting accuracy and controls.
• Analyze data, confirming its accuracy and adequacy as part of the collective analysis process.

• Bachelor degree in accounting or finance with minimum of 4 plus years of accounting experience in manufacturing or distribution company.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, journal entries and analysis of inventory/ inventory accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and general accounting.
• Excel skills and strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
