Position Overview

The prelitigation team is responsible for working through all assigned cases to the conclusion of prelitigation either through an agreed settlement offer or through the identification of needed case escalation to litigation. This includes the creation of the hard file, Neos file and the initial claim setup. Case managers are responsible for opening claims, completing treatment updates and in most cases, sending demands for settlement to conclude a case.

Case managers are individually accountable for every assigned case.

Responsibilities
  • Execute and facilitate directives and casework assigned by AJZ, ensuring efficient workflow and case progression.
  • Manage client intake processes, including documentation, insurance setup, and initial case assessment.
  • Coordinate insurance and subrogation claims and setting up with treaters as appropriate.
  • Prepare legal documents and correspondence with appropriate information and document the appropriate associated costs.
  • Maintain accurate and organized files through scanning, copying, and filing; ensure all client records are up to date.
  • Provide client support on a required monthly basis at a minimum for treatment updates and case progress.
  • Coordinate third-party providers both medical and insurance, working with medical facilities to procure liens for service and with adjusters to negotiate claims.
  • Documentation of all work in Neos with accuracy and proficiency, including completion of monthly Neos report for client treatment updates.
  • Offer backup support on administrative tasks such as phones, mail, greeting visitors, sending flowers, and managing supplies.
  • Serve as backup for front office operations including maintaining cleanliness, escorting guests, and managing conference rooms.
  • Support office culture, integrity, and professionalism through proactive communication and client-centered service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring precision in handling documentation, insurance claims, and legal correspondence to maintain compliance and accuracy.
  • Client-focused service orientation, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism in supporting and assisting clients.
  • Proficient with office technology and software, including scanning, copying, case management systems, and digital communication tools.
  • Effective problem‑solving skills, capable of addressing logistical challenges and escalating issues as necessary to ensure smooth case progression.
  • Adaptable and proactive, willing to take on backup roles, multitask under pressure, and contribute flexibly to team and office needs.
Education and/or Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years of experience in the legal field
  • 1 year in the personal injury sector preferred but not required
  • Spanish Preferred but not Required
