Administrative Assistant to the Director of Professional Development
The Administrative Assistant to the Director of Professional Development provides clerical and organizational support to ensure the effective coordination of professional learning programs and events offered through the Education Innovation Service Center (EISC). The position supports daily office operations, maintains accurate records, and assists with communication and logistics for workshops, academies, and other professional development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate registrations, confirmations, and attendance for professional development events.
- Assist with scheduling, room and technology arrangements, and materials preparation.
- Provide front-line customer service to districts, educators, and partners seeking information about professional development offerings.
- Prepare and format correspondence, flyers, sign-in sheets, certificates, and basic reports.
- Maintain organized electronic and paper records for events, contracts, evaluations, and related documents.
- Support basic fiscal processes such as processing invoices, purchase orders, and fee payments as directed.
- Perform general office duties (phones, copying, scanning, filing, mail) and provide backup support to other office staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma;
Associate's degree and coursework or training in office administration preferred. - Two or more years of successful office/administrative experience, preferably in an educational or public-sector setting.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office (documents, spreadsheets, presentations, email, calendars).
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication and strong customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively as part of a team.
Work Year and Salary:
Full-time, 12-month position. Salary and benefits established by the Regional Superintendent. Salary: $42,000 to $46,000 Benefits:
