ObjectiveWe are looking for a competent Commercial Tire & Lube Technician
. This person will perform all tire mounting, dismounting, balancing, tire wheel assemblies, tire repairs, oil, filter, lube diagnostics and procedures, and related tire inventory functions for medium and heavy duty trucks, as well as cars and light-truck vehicles (including luxury imports). As a Technician this person will promote a culture of quality and superior customer service.
- Perform advanced removal and replacement functions: battery and basic filter installations, wiper blade, headlamps, and small bulb replacement.
- Perform all phases of tires including mounting, balancing, TPMS, flat repair, rotation, tube installation, lube and oil filter procedures, and diagnostics of tire wear and vibration.
- Manage tire-related inventory functions including knowledge of tire lines, tire procedures, tire stock inquiries, and shipping and receiving procedures.
- Perform visual inspections including under hood, under car, and wheel off.
- Operate equipment safely: tire machine, balancer, lube equipment, flat repair equipment, lifts, impact gun torque wrench, tread depth gauge, grinder/wire wheel, micrometer, radial run out gauge, power flush machine, torches, alignments rack, strut machine, ball joint press, and all equipment necessary to perform Tire and Lube Technician role.
- Perform facility maintenance by following proper opening and closing procedures, housecleaning, and other general maintenance duties.
- Perform flushes using applicable equipment.
- Perform basic diagnostics, including recognizing noise or vibration problems after road testing.
- Basic knowledge of diagnostics and repair work preferred.
- Automotive and/or tire knowledge and skills preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal) required.
- Results-driven, proactive, and detail-oriented individual required.
- Strong team player who interacts well with others.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal skills) required.
- Ability to work 40 hours a week.
