Job Purpose

Accept and schedule customer inbound orders to ensure customer satisfaction and provide administrative support for the Outbound Operations Department.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Enter customer orders and scan/index documents.
  • Schedule delivery of customer loads.
  • Document orders in the computer and update customer contact information.
  • Maintain communications with customers regarding delivery schedule changes and potential service failures.
  • Handle all billing for the Inbound Department.
  • Train associates on inbound department tasks.
  • Understand RJW goals, policies, procedures and customer requirements.
  • Communicate customer problems, leads, and inquiries to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company information.
  • Recommend and implement approved improvements.
  • Update reports as required by the operations manager and COO.
  • Assist the local dispatcher in updating Tee Cards.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the manager.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Positive telephone personality.
  • Capable of being trained to be ‘Phone Assertive.’
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Organizational and scheduling skills.
  • Computer abilities including word processing, spreadsheets, and learning application software used by RJW.
Qualifications
  • Basic office clerical skills.
  • Typing speed of at least 40 wpm.
  • 3–4 years of clerical experience.
  • Basic transportation/logistics experience.
Education And/or Experience Required
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
