Instructional Coach

Duties

* Able to successfully lead the selection/creation/customization of professional learning to support and coach our diverse districts and partner entities.

* Maintain a local active presence in the professional learning community by facilitating networks, communicating through listservs, and attending region-wide events within the Will ROE community.

* Model, lead, coach, and develop professional learning experiences for staff.

* Facilitate the implementation of the Illinois Literacy Plan and research-based Mathematics within assigned districts and schools.

* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and reflective practice in literacy instruction.

Qualifications

* Must have a Bachelor's degree in Education, Literacy, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field (Master's preferred)

* Must have a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in ELA/Literacy or math with a proven track record of improving student achievement

* Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in teacher coaching or in a leadership role within an educational setting

* K-5 experience preferred
