Qualifications:
- Current Special Education teaching certification
- Experience teaching students in grades K-5, 6-8, or 9-12
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Adaptability and a compassionate, student-centered approach
- Ability to manage and document student progress effectively
- Deliver tailored instruction to students with diverse learning needs using evidence-based strategies
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student
- Coordinate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers to ensure appropriate accommodations
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional techniques as needed
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with special education regulations
- Communicate progress and concerns with parents or guardians, involving them in the educational process
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture
