Position:
Dial Screener

Function: Pre–School Screener or Hearing and Vision Screener.

Reports To: Child Service Specialist, Director of Special Education Services.

Relates To: Child Service Specialist, Hearing and Vision Technicians, District Personnel, Parents.

Qualifications: Associate's Degree or Minimum High School Diploma;
State of Illinois Hearing/Vision Certification;
Excellent interpersonal skills;
Must be able to speak, read and write English.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as an interpreter for students, staff, and parents.
• With proper certification, screen district students for vision and hearing.
• Compile and enter hearing and vision result data into a district computer program efficiently and timely.
• File and organize results from preschool screenings and submit information to the assigned coordinator.
• File and organize results from hearing and vision and submit information to the assigned coordinator.
• Perform all other responsibilities as assigned by the Child Service Specialist, Director of Special Education, or designee.

Position Guide: Non‑Certified Personnel 9 Months.

Position Type: Part‑Time.
