Sauk Valley Community College (SVCC), a comprehensive community college located in a picturesque rural setting, invites applications from innovative and experienced individuals to serve as Non-Credit Instructors.

Located in rural northwestern Illinois, along the scenic Rock River between the cities of Dixon and Sterling, the College offers a quiet, accessible teaching environment. SVCC is positioned approximately one hour from Rockford and the Quad Cities and two hours west of Chicago.

The Non-Credit Instructor reports directly to the Director of Community Education & Alumni Engagement.

The Non-credit Instructor provides instruction for specialized, short-term courses (i.e., hobbies, technology, dance, special interest, workforce skills) by developing curriculum and lesson plans and delivering quality instruction that meets the needs and interests of the community for professional growth or personal enrichment.

• Demonstrated experience and expertise in the subject matter you wish to instruct.
• Preferred:
  Prior experience in instruction or teaching roles.
