Early Childhood Teacher

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and activities that promote the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of preschool‑aged children.
• Create a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where children feel safe to explore and learn.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of childrens progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with parents and administrators.
• Collaborate with a team of educators and staff to ensure a cohesive and enriching educational experience for all students.
• Adhere to licensing requirements and maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom space.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (required).
• Illinois Professional Educator License with an endorsement in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Previous experience working with preschool‑aged children in a classroom setting (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Demonstrated passion for working with young children and fostering their growth and development.
