Position Summary

The Coordinator, Transition Programs provides direct oversight, leadership, and day‑to‑day administration of the College’s vocational skills programming and pursuit of the federally recognized CTP designation. The role is accountable for program planning, implementation, staffing coordination, direct supervision, budget management, compliance, outcomes measurement, and continuous improvement to support students with disabilities in their transition to postsecondary education, employment, and independent living. The Coordinator works independently on complex initiatives, ensures compliance with federal HEOA and institutional policies, and leads cross‑functional collaboration with Academic Affairs, Disability Services, Financial Aid, faculty, workforce partners, and community agencies to deliver measurable student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct oversight, leadership, and administration for vocational skills programming and the federally recognized Comprehensive Transition and Postsecondary Program (CTP), including annual planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish program goals, service models, and standards of performance; translate priorities into work plans and timelines and monitor progress toward outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary case manager for CTP students; develop, implement, and monitor individualized student success and transition plans aligned with IEPs and postsecondary goals.
  • Coordinate and deliver transitional supports that build academic readiness, workforce readiness, self‑advocacy, and independent living skills; provide guidance to students and families.
  • Facilitate student access to postsecondary coursework, vocational training, credentialing opportunities, and experiential learning in collaboration with faculty and campus partners.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the program and Academic Affairs, Disability Services, Financial Aid, employers, school districts, and community agencies to ensure coordinated service delivery and compliance.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with institutional, state, and federal requirements related to CTP eligibility, documentation, financial aid coordination, student records, and program operations; prepare for audits, reviews, and required submissions.
  • Hire, train, supervise, assign work, and evaluate program staff and instructors; provide coaching, performance feedback, and evaluations consistent with institutional practice.
  • Develop, deliver, and coordinate training for staff, instructors, and campus partners regarding CTP processes, compliance requirements, student supports, and program procedures.
  • Produce regular weekly, monthly, annual, and ad hoc reports related to enrollment, persistence, completion, employment outcomes, compliance, fiscal performance, and program effectiveness.
  • Lead annual budget preparation, revenue and expenditure forecasting, variance analysis, and resource allocation recommendations; participate in annual planning and program review documentation and ensure fiscal stewardship aligned to institutional requirements.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with campus departments, school districts, workforce partners, agencies, and community organizations to strengthen pathways, placements, and employment opportunities.
