Job Title:ARC Supplemental Instruction Mentor
Job Description:Supplemental Instruction (SI) mentors assist the SI supervisor in supporting, training, and encouraging the SI leaders. SI mentors attend SI training meetings, conduct SI session observations, complete SI observation reports, and meet with the SI supervisor throughout the semester. SI mentors establish rapport with assigned SI leaders and conference with them individually to review their observed performance. SI mentors also assist in the preparation of SI training materials.
Qualifications:SI mentors must have excellent communication skills. Prior SI leader or tutoring experience is beneficial, but not required. Must have sophomore standing or higher, a minimum of 3.0 overall GPA, and a referral from Mercer faculty. A professional and congenial attitude and an interest in the success of others is essential to the position.
Pay Rate:$10.00 per hour
