Key Qualifications &
Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working within emotional and behavioral support settings preferred
- Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Commitment to maintaining a structured, positive, and nurturing classroom atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
- Teach and support a self-contained classroom of 6th-8th graders, typically 9-10 students
- Implement evidence-based strategies that address behavioral and emotional needs
- Develop, adapt, and deliver IEPs in collaboration with colleagues and support staff
- Foster social and emotional skills alongside academic growth
- Maintain open, ongoing communication with families and interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to a positive school culture
Position Details:
- School day:
Monday through Friday, 7:50 am to 3:10 pm - Support provided by a dedicated team and ongoing professional development

Compensation for this position ranges from $28.05 to $48.05.
