Symbotic seeks a Manager, System Engineer to run our system control center and ensure critical issues are communicated to the proper cross‑functional teams. The System Engineer team optimizes and maintains system performance. As Manager, you will perform reactionary and proactive, project‑based tasks to meet contractual obligations, lead explanations of system behavior, and drive project timelines and budgets. You will develop operational work schedules in collaboration with customer operational requirements.

• Lead monitoring of the health of automated adapters, vertical lifts, and automated robotic vehicles.
• Lead troubleshooting of advanced system and operational issues.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to site teams and customers.
• Analyze field difficulties and develop long‑term corrective actions using a solutions‑based approach.
• Train and assist operators on overall system, including automated adapters, vertical lifts, automated robotic vehicles, warehouse management systems and other IT problems.
• Backfill key Symbotic on‑site roles when necessary.
• Own escalated issues and manage product/service outages through site go‑live.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, standardization and improvement of the warehouse automation solution.
• Ensure safety commitments are met daily in compliance with OSHA, Symbotic, and customer processes and procedures.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of equipment/system capabilities, technical specifications and product performance.
• Develop bench strength within the organizational structure and perform additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain, operations management, industrial engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with automated systems.
• Minimum 3 years of direct people leadership experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens), robots (ABB) and software languages such as SQL, Linux, Python.
• Experience with project management, continuous improvement and Six Sigma.
• Hands‑on experience assembling, operating and troubleshooting robotics and electro‑mechanical systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Desire to learn new equipment and assist team members.
• High sense of urgency.

• Approximately 75% of time spent on a construction site with PPE required (hard hat, safety vest, steel‑toe boots, ear protection, fall protection).
• Need to navigate steep stairs and high railings; walk up and down stairs routinely.
• Work in temperatures ranging from 32° to 105° Fahrenheit and other environmental conditions.
• Frequent lifting (up to 50lbs) and moving items (up to 80lbs); stand/walk for 10‑12hours.
• Work at heights up to 45feet and within restrictive areas of 24inches.
• Must comply with all safety requirements, including lock‑out/tag‑out, fall protection.

The base range for this position is $87,000.00 – $, though base pay may vary based on knowledge, skill and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k), PTO and other benefits.
