OSEH is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design-Focused Transportation Civil Engineering Project Manager to oversee transportation infrastructure projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in civil engineering with expertise in transportation systems, including roadways, highways, bridges, and transit systems. This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with regulations, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a team lead in coordinating engineers, designers, and field personnel involved in the planning, design, analysis, and construction of public and private infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory agencies to define project scope, schedule, and deliverables.
- Oversee compliance with engineering standards, environmental regulations, and safety requirements.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to support successful project delivery.
- Prepare engineering reports, technical specifications, cost estimates, and project documentation.
- Monitor project progress and performance to maintain quality, schedule, and budget objectives.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members.
- Facilitate public meetings, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
- Perform technical assignments including roadway and highway geometrics, drainage design, traffic analysis, barrier warrant analyses, maintenance of traffic, civil/site development, and related engineering tasks.
- Support transportation and aviation projects involving taxiway and runway design, pavement design, signing and striping, and related infrastructure improvements.
- Develop preliminary design studies and Project Reports; prepare specifications, quantity calculations, and design computations.
- Facilitate OSEH Inc.’s quality control procedures for deliverable preparation, review, archiving, and distribution.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field;
Master’s degree preferred. - Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of seven years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on transportation infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing transportation projects from design through construction.
- Strong knowledge of transportation engineering principles, roadway design, traffic engineering, and project management.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and project management software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local transportation regulations, standards, and permitting processes.
