Principal​/Sr Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a Principal/Sr Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of our client's high‑scale cloud environment. In this role, you won’t just manage servers—you will own the blueprints. You’ll be responsible for creating standardized, automated, and secure patterns that empower our client's entire engineering organization.

This is a senior‑level position designed for a specialist who can balance deep technical execution with high‑level architectural influence and mentorship.

• Architect Scalable Patterns: Lead the design of enterprise‑grade infrastructure (e.g., reusable Terraform modules) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) libraries.
• Master the Pipeline: Own and optimize deployment automation using Octopus Deploy and Azure Dev Ops for both infrastructure and application releases.
• Drive Cloud Governance: Enforce security standards, IAM, and network security practices across multiple providers.
• Technical Advisory: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for scrum and Tech Ops teams, ensuring infrastructure is prioritized early in the SDLC.
• Lead Through Mentorship: Raise the bar for the team by mentoring junior and mid‑level engineers on operational excellence and IaC best practices.

  Experience:
  
  5+ years as a Cloud Infrastructure or Platform Engineer in a production‑grade environment.
• Cloud Mastery: Extensive experience with Azure (Primary) and AWS (Secondary).
• IaC Expert: Deep expertise in Terraform
  , including complex module development, state management, and multi‑environment patterns.
• Automation Specialist: Advanced proficiency with Octopus Deploy and Azure Dev Ops pipeline architecture.
• The Scripting Core: Highly proficient in Power Shell for automating complex operational workflows.
• OS Knowledge: Strong Windows OS management skills in cloud environments; functional knowledge of Linux fundamentals.
• The Mindset: A collaborative leader who can explain technical decisions to non‑technical stakeholders and influence senior leadership without direct authority.
