Energy Engineer
Constellation Energy seeks a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to lead complex engineering and asset management initiatives within our Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management team. In this senior role, you will design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems supporting power generation and energy assets, driving improved reliability, safety, and efficiency. Responsibilities include leading root-cause investigations, developing maintenance strategies, preparing technical specs and reports, and guiding capital projects.
You'll collaborate closely with operations and maintenance teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with industry codes and standards in a culture that values innovation and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical engineering projects for power generation and energy infrastructure assets
- Develop and optimize mechanical systems to improve reliability, efficiency, and safety
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for equipment failures
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and asset management teams on long-term asset strategies
- Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, and technical reports
- Support capital project planning, design reviews, and vendor evaluations
- Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and company procedures
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams
