G&W Electric Co. seeks an NPD Project Engineer III to lead development of innovative power grid solutions for global utility and industrial customers. In this role, you will manage complex new product development projects from concept through launch, coordinating cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams. Responsibilities include requirements definition, detailed design, validation testing, risk analysis, and design for manufacturability. You will drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with industry standards, support customers, and mentor junior engineers in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end new product development projects from concept to launch
- Develop and review product requirements, specifications, and engineering designs
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and quality
- Plan and execute validation, qualification, and reliability testing
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical and industry standards
- Apply design for manufacturability and cost optimization principles
- Manage project schedules, risks, and technical documentation
- Support customers and internal stakeholders with technical expertise
- Drive continuous improvement in products and development processes
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices
