Senior Electrical Engineer

Constellation Energy seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to support utility-scale and commercial energy projects. In this role, you will design and review electrical power systems, substations, and distribution equipment, ensuring reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include performing load flow and short-circuit studies, specifying equipment, developing one-line diagrams, and supporting protection and control schemes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, support construction and commissioning, troubleshoot field issues, and drive innovative, sustainable energy solutions aligned with Constellation's carbon reduction goals.

Responsibilities

• Design and review electrical power systems, substations, and distribution equipment
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, and protective device coordination studies
• Develop electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, and equipment specifications
• Ensure designs meet safety, reliability, and regulatory/industry standards
• Support construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting of field issues
• Collaborate with project managers, civil, mechanical, and operations teams
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers
• Contribute to grid modernization and renewable integration initiatives
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and project documentation
• Interface with vendors, utilities, and regulators as needed
