Dry Cask Storage Specialist

Responsibilities

• Oversee dry cask storage operations for spent nuclear fuel in compliance with NRC and industry regulations
• Develop, implement, and maintain procedures and documentation for safe dry cask loading, handling, and storage
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, and safety teams to schedule and execute cask campaigns
• Monitor storage system performance, conduct inspections, and manage corrective actions
• Lead or support safety analyses, risk assessments, and technical evaluations related to dry cask systems
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and technical specifications for casks and related equipment
• Prepare technical reports, regulatory submittals, and responses to audits or inspections
• Train plant staff on dry cask storage procedures and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards
