Job Description Joliet Slammers Promotions Internship (Summer 2026)

** The Joliet Slammers are Joliet's hometown professional baseball team, competing in the Frontier League - a Partner League of Major League Baseball. * Position Overview:

** The Joliet Slammers are seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated students to be a part of the 2025 season. As an intern, you will obtain first-hand experience in the entire operation of a successful professional baseball franchise. A promotion intern would primarily be focused on ensuring the Slammers fans have a wonderful experience by providing exciting & engaging promotions throughout the season via on-field games, theme nights, customer service, community outreach, and other opportunities across the organization.
** Every day is different, but a typical day might include:
*** Represent the Joliet Slammers organization, partners, and sponsors with professionalism, pride, and enthusiasm at all times
* Display outstanding teamwork, communication skills, and an energetic personality
* Planning and executing all aspects of promotions and associated tasks
* Theme nights, on-field entertainment, production, and more
* Assisting with the creation of in-game entertainment, especially pertaining to theme nights
* Willing to put yourself out there
* Dancing, cheering, engaging with the crowd
* Assisting with production setup for each game
* Assisting with PA scripts, video board, music, etc
* Assisting with stocking, cleaning, inventory, etc
* Attending various community events/parades
* Help with the day-to-day function of the organization. You may be asked to do several tasks; it's part of the all-inclusive experience!
** The ideal candidate:
*** Are currently attending college
* Are able to work all 51 home games and additional off-site events
* Strong attention to detail & organizational skills
* Have the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, multi-task work environment
* Have superior oral communication. Writing and editing skills
* Are highly motivated with a strong work ethic
* Strong desire to work in a team environment
