DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
This position assists with gathering, analyzing, recording, and reporting the County’s financial activity to support accurate decision-making and compliance. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries, cost allocations, budget and accrual entries, and maintaining accounts receivable, accounts payable, capital assets, grants, and projects in the financial system. The role supports audits, year-end reporting, federal and state financial reports, and 1099 compliance by compiling documentation and schedules.
Duties also include assisting with grant budgeting, expenditure and revenue estimates, and ongoing grant reporting. The position contributes to the annual budget process, maintains organized financial records, and provides backup support for Pro Card processing.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or economics from an accredited college or university. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required. Experience with automated financial systems required. Two (2) to Three (3) years of general accounting experience preferred.
Experience with fund accounting preferred. Experience with state and federal grants preferred. Must have valid driver’s license and minimum liability insurance required by law.
Budget and Finance
SALARY RANGE$65,000 – $70,000/Year
