The Accounting Assistant supports the finance department by performing daily accounting tasks related to production, inventory, and financial reporting. This role ensures accurate processing of financial transactions, assists with cost accounting, and helps maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards within a manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities- Assist with journal entries and general ledger maintenance
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve variances
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, providing insights to management for decision‑making.
- Ensure that all financial practices adhere to legal standards and regulations, including tax compliance.
- Assist in tracking materials, work‑in‑progress, and finished goods
- Support inventory counts and reconciliation processes
- Help monitor manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, and overhead
- Prepare reports on production costs, inventory levels, and financial performance
- Assist in month‑end and year‑end closing processes
- Support audits by providing required documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Oversight of accounting operations and internal controls.
- ERP-based cost accounting, inventory valuation, and financial analysis.
- Compliance with tax regulations, audits, and financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS).
- Financial closing, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English preferred
