Join our BT Prep team as a Document Processing Assistant, specializing in either Data Validation, Digital Scanning, or K1-A Validation where attention to detail and technical skills are key.

What you’ll do

As a Data Specialist on the BT Prep team, you will be an integral member of the firm’s centralized tax processing center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate, for accuracy, data and scanned confidential documents for individual tax returns.
  • Input necessary information not captured by software.
  • Ensure client confidentiality by following all company procedures regarding information handling.
Qualifications
  • Must have participated in BT Prep for the 2026 Tax Season.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Availability:
    Minimum 30 hours/week (Monday‑Friday, 7 a.m.

    -7 p.m. CST). Work hours must be spread across at least four days, with a minimum of four hours per day.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn quickly.
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
  • Availability to work August 2026 through October 2026.
Compensation

The pay rate range for this job position is $16.50 per hour. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.
