Position: Financial Center Manager II (Joliet)

Role Summary

The Financial Center Manager II will be responsible for the achievement of specified banking center and banking center staff performance goals, on‑going achievement, profitability, deposit and loan growth, and fee income. The FCM will build, develop and lead a team that is focused on providing clients with an exceptional client experience through presenting financial solutions that meet their needs. By focusing on the client, doing the right thing, and striving to make a difference, the team will build long‑lasting client relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve specified banking center team service levels and performance goals.
  • Build, develop and lead a client‑focused team.
  • Model behavior aligned with First Financial’s mission and values.
  • Maintain banking center environment and commitment to client experience.
  • Ensure performance goals are met or exceeded, supporting overall district and region goals.
  • Foster an inclusive and team‑oriented environment, leading communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and lead a team knowledgeable in bank products, processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage daily operations, audit scores, and sales execution.
  • Open deposit accounts, accept, key and close loan applications, and assist in growing accounts.
  • Actively manage onboarding of new clients and conduct client follow‑up calls timely.
  • Manage overall financial center sales and performance, understanding impact on district and company.
  • Engage in coaching and recognition; update team members on progress toward goals.
  • Develop strong business relationships with key partners, including Business Specialists, Work‑life Specialists, Financial Wellness Advisors, Preferred Bankers, Private Bankers, Wealth Advisors, Mortgage Loan Officers, and Commercial Partners.
  • Integrate into the community, develop outside sales opportunities, and support site‑specific events.
  • Manage day‑to‑day activities aligned with The First Financial Bank Experience (FFB Experience).
  • Ensure associates deliver quality client experience, deepen relationships, and manage client onboarding.
  • Lead daily huddles and team meetings.
  • Attract new associates aligned with First Financial Bank culture; serve as a resource to promote engagement.
  • Assist District Leader and Retail Regional President with interviewing prospective candidates.
  • Develop associates through observational coaching, joint sales calls, and coaching model (R.O.P.E.).
  • Maintain all operational and risk management standards.
  • Facilitate conference calls and lead team meetings and district/region communication.
  • Act as liaison between peers, district leader, and retail regional president, supporting retail‑wide initiatives.
Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of demonstrated leadership in coaching, management, leadership, or mentoring in a retail environment.
  • 2–4 years of demonstrated success with multiple sales leadership processes and execution.
  • 2–4 years of personal experience in sales and service with prior success in achieving sales and service goals in a retail environment.
  • Working knowledge of banking policies and procedures.
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent banking work experience preferred.
  • 2–4 years of related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $52,000–$67,000 per year.
  • All roles are incentive eligible (except co‑op, intern, or student).
