Responsibilities
- Learn and follow the processes defined in Woodwards Cost Estimating and Pricing manual.
- Develop and prepare FAR Part 15 compliant proposals, ensuring full compliance with the Truthful Cost or Pricing Data Act (formerly TINA) when required.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather required data and insights for proposal development.
- Assist in interfacing with DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) and DCMA (Defense Contract Management Agency) during audits, providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Prepare responses to customer audit requests, ensuring clear communication and timely submission of required materials.
- Support process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Read and understand Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and Bills of Material (BOMs), while developing a working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Prepare pricing, cost analysis, and audit support reports, and communicate financial information clearly to internal teams, customers, and government audit personnel.
- Collecting, organizing, and maintaining proposals, pricing, and actual cost data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and traceability of supporting documentation.
- US – Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences in Accounting, Finance or Economics required.
- 2-5 years of experience in cost estimation, government contracting, or a related discipline.
- 5 or more years of relevant experience in FAR Part 15 regulations, cost estimation principles, and government contracting practices for Sr Government Proposal Pricing Analyst.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Ability to perform detailed cost analysis, pricing analysis, and modeling using financial software and tools.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices as they relate to cost analysis, pricing, and proposal support.
- Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to collect, organize, and analyze proposals, cost, pricing, and actuals data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Pro Pricer, SAP, and other pricing and analytical tools.
