Operations Specialist I

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about delivering exceptional member service? Do you enjoy working behind the scenes to ensure accurate processing, support branch operations, and help members achieve their financial goals?

As an Operations Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting NuMark Credit Union's back-office operations and transaction processing functions. This position is responsible for handling a variety of operational activities, including ACH processing, wire transfers, payroll postings, bill pay administration, mobile deposit review, member account research, and other critical operational functions that contribute to an outstanding member experience.

What You'll Do:
  • Assist with operational functions including payroll postings, wire transfers, ACH origination, foreign currency purchases, mobile deposit review, and monthly dormant account processing.
  • Support negative share account collections and reporting activities.
  • Review and manage bill pay programs, including new enrollments, cancellations, maintenance requests, and exception processing.
  • Assist with safe deposit box administration and related operational processes.
  • Participate in semi-annual audits and support compliance review activities.
  • Investigate account and service usage concerns and collaborate with management regarding potential restrictions, captures, or account closures when appropriate.
  • Serve as a backup for Card Services functions as needed.
  • Assist with the administration of the IRA program and related member services.
  • Perform member account research, transactions, and miscellaneous operational tasks while providing support to branches and other departments.
  • Participate actively in training, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • Adhere to credit union policies, procedures, and security measures.
  • Identify operational risks and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support credit union community involvement initiatives and participate in community activities.
  • Provide exceptional support to branch staff and members regarding operational processing and account-related inquiries.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three years of related experience, preferably within a financial institution.
  • Strong understanding of teller operations and general knowledge of core banking systems preferred.
  • Goal-oriented, results-driven, and motivated to achieve individual and departmental objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete assigned tasks accurately and on time.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and member service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial institution software systems.
