JOB TITLE:
Clerical Administrator DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
Provides clerical and administrative support to the Land Use Department. This position will prepare, assemble, distribute, post, and maintain meeting agenda packets in both hard and electronic copy format. Assist with telephone coverage. Prepares, assembles, and transmits records for compliance with the Division’s records disposal authority. Familiarity with legal descriptions, zoning and subdivision processes, and general principles of land use desired;
knowledge of Will County and Land Use Department services and programs, County, township, and municipal governmental structure, and Will County geography are beneficial. This is an on-site role.
High school graduation or equivalency required;
Two (2) years of clerical/administrative experience;proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software;good interpersonal communication skills,excellent organizational ability; attention to detail; willingness to gain cooperation, encourage action, take initiative in problem-solving;ability to type at the minimum rate of thirty-five (35) words per minute. A typing test will be given to all selected candidates prior to an interview being granted.
Evening work hours may be required as needed approximately two times per month.
Valid Driver’s License and minimum automobile insurance as required by law.
Familiarity with Zoning and subdivision processes, legal descriptions, and general principles of land use desired;
Knowledge of Will County, Township, and municipal government structure and Will County geography are beneficial.

SALARY RANGE:$46,887 (Starting Salary Grade D Step
3) - $55,732 (Top of the range Grade E Step
