Clinical Dietitian – Inpatient Rehabilitation

Encompass Health's Van Matre Rehabilitation Hospital, a leader in rehabilitative care, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dietitian to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement nutritional plans that cater to the specific needs of our rehabilitative patients. Utilizing cutting-edge technology and evidence-based practices, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients in their recovery processes, optimizing nutritional outcomes to enhance their overall health and recovery progression.

• Assess patient health needs and diet restrictions at the rehabilitation facility.
• Develop dietary care plans and coordinate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care tailored to the medical and rehabilitative needs of patients.
• Counsel patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans, diet modifications, and food selection and preparation.
• Monitor and evaluate patients’ responses to dietary interventions and modify plans as needed.
• Document patient care and progress, maintaining accurate and confidential patient records.
• Educate staff on dietary and nutritional guidelines to enhance patient care.
• Participate in clinical research related to diet and medical outcomes as required.
• Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition and dietetics.
• Ability to devise and manage personalized nutrition plans.
• Excellent communication and counseling skills.
• Proficiency in utilizing nutritional management software and patient medical records systems.
• Strong understanding of rehabilitation processes and patient needs.
