Key Responsibilities Cashier Duties
- Deliver outstanding customer service in cashier, server, or host roles.
- Lead by example and support a positive team culture.
- Represent Harrah’s professionally at all times.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
- Oversee outlet operations to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Assist with planning daily and special events.
- Complete financial reports and tracking tools.
- Foster teamwork, morale, and open communication.
- Monitor labor usage to maintain service standards.
- Ensure equipment is safe and operational; report issues promptly.
- Communicate service or operational concerns to the Food Operations Manager.
- Support team performance and enforce appearance standards.
- Recommend menu improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Conduct safety and cleanliness inspections.
- Follow all company, department, and regulatory policies.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
- High School Diploma or GED required;
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - Minimum 2 years of experience in high-volume food service (banquets, buffets, or specialty outlets preferred).
- Strong customer service, communication, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of food service operations and cost control preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS systems (Micros).
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must meet Harrah’s Joliet internal transfer eligibility requirements.
Work Environment Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Work in environments with smoke, noise, bright lights, and dust.
- Physical activity includes standing (10%), sitting (15%), walking (75%), bending, reaching, climbing, and kneeling.
- Must respond to sensory cues (touch, speech, taste, smell, hearing, sight).
- Fast-paced environment with frequent guest and team interaction.
- Must meet Harrah’s Joliet internal transfer eligibility requirements.
- $16.00 per hour Cashiering
- $20.00 per hour Dual Rating
