JOB TITLE:
IT Project Manager
- Position is accountable for serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for members of the HR team, by providing technical expertise, support, and guidance in the HRIS/Payroll system in day-to-day operations.
- Interface with IT personnel on system projects and initiatives and coordinate with HR management.
- Perform periodic system testing and quality assurance checks.
- Act as the primary contact for system-related IT inquiries and coordinate with software support as needed.
- Also, acts as IT ancillary support for the County Human Resources Department and reports to the ICT Director.
- Associate’s degree in business, Human Resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five to seven years of prior experience working as a Project Manager or within 6 months to 1 year of hire acquire a project management certification from a reputable source.
- Prior implementation experience is highly desired.
- Thorough understanding of the interdependence of Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking and Absence.
- Government or Municipality experience preferred – (3) three years.
- PHR or SPHR preferred. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
- Valid State of Illinois Driver’s License and minimum automobile insurance as required by law.

SALARY RANGE: $68,000 – $72,000/year
