Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school district near Berwyn, IL. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of students from kindergarten through 8th grade who require speech and language support in both English and a second language.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in bilingual students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' specific needs and goals, incorporating cultural and linguistic considerations.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both English and the target language, focusing on speech articulation, language comprehension, fluency, and social communication skills.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and communication with stakeholders.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Illinois state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and a second language (Spanish preferred).
- Experience working with K-8 students in a school setting, preferably with bilingual populations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
