Optify Search is currently partnered with a Cosmetic Contract Manufacturer seeking a Director of Supply Chain to lead their procurement, inventory, and shipping/receiving functions during a period of growth and operational transformation.

Responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):
  • Lead procurement, inventory management, and shipping/receiving teams.
  • Manage raw material and packaging procurement within a complex, high mix SKU environment.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships; negotiate contracts and drive cost, quality, and lead‑time improvements.
  • Oversee inventory control across thousands of SKUs, ensuring accuracy, availability, and optimized stock levels.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Production, and Quality to ensure seamless material flow and operational efficiency.
  • Support the rollout of Lean management principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and resolve supply chain bottlenecks, risks, and supply disruptions.
To be considered for the role, the following education, experience and qualifications are required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business or related field (advanced degree or certifications advantageous).
  • 8–10+ years of relevant supply chain leadership experience spanning procurement, inventory, and logistics.
  • Demonstrated experience managing significant raw material procurement spend and large inventory positions.
  • Background within cosmetics, OTC, consumer goods, food, pharma or similar manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Strong leadership capability in fast paced, rapidly evolving environments.
  • Experience with supplier performance management, contract negotiation, and cost‑of‑goods improvement initiatives.
  • Exposure to GMP environments and/or Lean methodologies beneficial.
