Position: Associate Specialist, Sourcing Category Manager, Technology Applications

Responsibilities
  • Develop sourcing strategy and perform category analytics.
  • Lead and manage the RFx process (Request for Proposal, Request for Information, Request for Quote) including project management, RFx development, negotiations, and award.
  • Review contracts, draft and create various agreements (NDAs, Master Agreements, Statements of Work) and lead all aspects of contract and price negotiations and ongoing administration.
  • Maintain procurement processes and procedures.
  • Support and monitor supplier adherence to contracts; manage suppliers via supplier activity reporting, business/performance reviews; conduct supplier scorecards, supplier rationalization, and demand management opportunities.
  • Manage regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., OFAC, FCPA, Spend Analysis, Client Relationships).
  • Report procurement performance metrics.
  • Manage supplier fitness by analyzing overall business and financial performance of potential and existing suppliers.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key partners; educate on policy/guidelines and resolve related purchasing issues.
  • Utilize and maintain ERP and Contract Management System (ECM); load final agreements.
  • Collaborate with business partners to formulate and implement strategy and solutions to enhance existing services, create new services, or improve processes; identify impact of changes and facilitate adoption through training and communication; provide ongoing support for the solution.
  • Serve as a technical expert with in-depth knowledge of procurement and supply chain management, with strong knowledge of related areas.
  • Qualifications
    • In-depth knowledge of supply chain management and procurement; experience sourcing indirect categories (e.g., IT).
    • Strong analytical, sourcing, negotiation, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems/People Soft.
    • Demonstrated time management, project management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Finance with six or more years of sourcing or procurement experience; an equivalent mix of education and work experience acceptable.
    • MBA or advanced degree and a professional Procurement/Supply Chain Management designation (e.g., CSCP, CPM) are a plus.
    Salary

    Salary range: $95,600 - $162,400 USD. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits, paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life and disability insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. A discretionary bonus program may include an equity component.
