The Project Manager serves as the primary state project manager for assigned capital construction projects at state facilities, higher education institutions, and code agencies under the Capital Development Board. The role manages projects from conception to close‑out within scope, budget, and schedule, overseeing the development of project budgets, coordinating with architects and engineers, and maintaining real‑time project status in CDB database systems.
Keyqualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field, plus three years of professional construction project management experience (or Associate's degree/technical
- Four years of advanced hands‑on experience with enterprise project tracking databases, automated change management portals, digital document repositories, MS Office 365, and electronic PDF markup tool
- Four years managing multi-trade capital projects ($1M–$10M+) and analyzing complex CPM schedules
- Four years of experience with public construction administration, Illinois Procurement Code, design drawings, and project labor agreements
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and digital communication skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel with overnight stays as appropriate
