Assembler I
Join us as an Assembler I where you'll engage in fulfilling and varied sub-assembly and assembly tasks.
As an Assembler I, your responsibilities will include:- Preparing work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists; gathering necessary parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positioning parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements.
- Assembling components and ensuring proper fit by examining connections; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Assisting in building prototypes and other basic assembly projects outside of regular production as needed.
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by following rules and regulations.
- Conserving resources by utilizing equipment and supplies effectively to achieve job results.
- Contributing to the team by training others in basic assembly tasks as necessary.
- Inspecting your work to ensure it meets requirements before passing it on to the next operation.
- Documenting your actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Possess a High School diploma or GED, or a combination of relevant work experience and skill development.
- Ideally have 0-1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Are capable of safely using small hand and power tools.
- Can read and interpret drawings and bills of material.
- Have basic computer skills.
- Can read and understand instructions, both written and verbal, in English.
- Medium to Heavy Physical Demand Level as classified by the US Dept of Labor.
- Lifting requirements: lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally with assistance; lifting up to 40 pounds frequently; carrying up to 40 pounds occasionally over short distances; pushing/pulling up to 40 pounds frequently, and over 40 pounds occasionally with help.
- Postural requirements: standing and walking continuously; bending/stooping and squatting/kneeling frequently; frequent lifting.
- Miscellaneous demands: continuous gripping, manipulation, and fingering; frequent hand/power tool use; participating in two-person tasks using assistive devices for lifting.
