job summary
material handlers provide dependent departments with all materials needed to complete their tasks. They maintain an accurate inventory of cannabis and non-cannabis matarials, work closely with other departments to ship/receive cannabis material, supplies, and equipment. They are responsible for shreding plant waste according to state regulations.
schedulemonday - friday 3:30pm - 12:00am
core duties- provide departments with all materials needed at the point of use based on work orders.
- accurately record weights and tote counts of all cannabis products received or shipped.
- follow fifo inventory flow to maintain shelf-life quality of perishable stock.
- report any discrepancies related to cannabis shipments to leadership and assist in resolving them.
- track and report inventory levels to avoid shortages.
- receive goods, stock shelves, and complete daily supply runs for all departments.
- operate lift trucks to move equipment/supplies and receive goods from freight carriers.
- handle shipments to freight carriers and small package carriers such as fedex, ups, and usps.
- communicate shipment issues with department leadership, including damaged shipments.
- assist with grow media removal after harvests and operate shredding equipment to dispose of plant waste daily.
- perform other duties as assigned to support overall operation.
- 1 year (2-3 years preferable) of hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing or production environment.
- excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- high level of organizational skill.
- deadline driven and detail oriented.
- commitment to work collaboratively with all departments and employees.
- must complete power industrial lift truck certification/training.
- must be able to work outside in cold and hot environments.
- must be able to work around equipment with moving parts and excessive noise.
- must be able to work around plant material, which could include exposure to pollen and/or dust.
- requires ability to sit, stand, kneel, and/or perform repetitive hand motions for long periods.
- requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs to torso level.

pay range$20 — $20 usd
