Material Handler

The Material Handler inspects, tests, cleans, and repackages returned products to ensure they function correctly and meet quality standards before being reissued. This role involves hands-on work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, supporting production and general labor activities.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect returned products thoroughly to identify any defects or issues.
  • Test products to verify that they power on and off correctly and that all functions and processes work as intended.
  • Use testing equipment and tools to perform accurate and consistent product evaluations.
  • Clean products carefully to meet quality and presentation standards prior to repackaging.
  • Package cleaned and tested products securely so they are ready to be reissued.
  • Perform general labor and production tasks as needed to support daily operations.
  • Follow established procedures and safety guidelines while handling, testing, cleaning, and packaging products.
  • Maintain an organized work area and handle products with care to prevent damage.
  • Communicate any product defects or recurring issues to the appropriate team members.
Essential Skills
  • At least 6 months of production or warehouse experience.
  • Experience performing general labor tasks in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
  • Ability to inspect products and identify visible defects or irregularities.
  • Ability to operate or work with testing equipment to check product functionality.
  • Basic understanding of production and packing processes.
  • Ability to clean products and packaging materials with attention to detail.
  • Capability to stand for the entire shift and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Reliability in following established procedures and safety protocols.

  • Experience in general production work, including packing and material handling.
  • Comfort working with test equipment and following testing instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail when inspecting, testing, cleaning, and packaging products.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Willingness to take on varied tasks and support different stages of the production process.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Joliet, IL. The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
