Shift Supervisor – 2nd Shift at Medium Density Fiberboard (MFD) manufacturing site in Mt. Jewett, PA.

Georgia‑Pacific is seeking a proactive Shift Supervisor to lead and coach a team of up to 18 production associates to meet production, quality, safety, and reliability targets.

• Facilitate team development and growth, skill development, problem‑solving, and resolution; build employee commitment, ownership and accountability.
• Identify and execute initiatives to drive improvements in competitive position, deliver value, and meet organizational objectives.
• Supervise and coordinate production efforts to drive continuous improvement in processes that affect EHS, compliance, reliability, quality, production, and costs.
• Lead a wood products production team to work injury‑free/incident‑free in a continuous manufacturing process.
• Foster an environment consistent with Principle Based Management philosophy and framework.
• Drive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership and accountability to proactively eliminate hazards.
• Monitor product quality and provide direction to crew members to maximize production efficiency; provide safety training; coach, develop and manage performance through Principle Based Management processes; mentor crew members to develop their knowledge, skills and abilities for career advancement.

• OSB experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or team‑management experience, or a bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of general safe work practices.
• Problem‑solving/Root Cause Analysis skills.
• Demonstrated organizational and planning skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) and ability to learn PC‑based production reporting systems.
• Ability to work an 8‑ or 12‑hour rotating shift schedule – days, evenings, weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
