Compensation

Pay range: $20 USD to $28 USD per shift. Final offers are based on skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other relevant factors.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Entry‑Level Manual Machinist to join our team. This role is designed for individuals who are interested in developing a career in machining and rotating equipment repair. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced machinists to learn machining techniques, equipment operation, precision measurement, and shop safety practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist experienced machinists with machining, fabrication, and repair activities.
  • Support the setup and preparation of materials, tools, and equipment for machining operations.
  • Learn the safe operation of manual machine shop equipment, including lathes, mills, drill presses, and other equipment as assigned.
  • Assist with measuring, inspecting, and documenting parts under the guidance of experienced machinists.
  • Learn how to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Assist with the repair and refurbishment of components for pumps, turbines, compressors, motors, and other rotating equipment.
  • Perform basic shop tasks including material handling, tool organization, and work area maintenance.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Participate in hands‑on training and skill development opportunities.
  • Support machinists, mechanics, supervisors, and other team members to meet production and repair schedules.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in machining or industrial repair.
  • Basic math skills and ability to perform measurements.
  • Ability to learn technical concepts and follow detailed instructions.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical school coursework in machining, manufacturing, welding, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
  • Apprenticeship, military mechanical training, or vocational training experience.
  • Prior experience in a machine shop, manufacturing facility, or industrial environment.
  • Experience using hand tools, measuring tools, or mechanical equipment.
