Our Joliet Campus is seeking someone with a passion for Jesus and a passion for the next generation. The ideal candidate for this full-time pastoral role will be a relational shepherding pastor with significant leadership skills. This person will serve as the leader and pastor of the Joliet Campus children’s and student ministries, where they will be responsible for the overall spiritual health and success of those ministries at the campus level.
Their passion for their ministry areas will significantly be exhibited through the recruiting, leading, and training of a strong volunteer base to help execute the ministry requirements. As a vital part of the campus pastoral team, this person needs to have a shepherd’s heart and be able to help people walk through difficult situations with spiritual maturity and compassion.
Together with the One Church Next Generation staff, they will work to develop and implement a strategy for the evangelism and ongoing discipleship of all children and students within the ministry. - Lead and pastor the Joliet Campus children’s and student ministries, ensuring their spiritual health and success at the campus level.
- Recruit, lead, and train a strong volunteer base to execute ministry requirements.
- Collaborate with the One Church Next Generation staff to develop and implement strategy for evangelism and ongoing discipleship of children and students.
- Demonstrate a shepherd’s heart and assist people through difficult situations with spiritual maturity and compassion.
- Experience in pastoral leadership within children’s and/or student ministries.
- Proven ability to recruit, develop, and empower volunteers.
- Strong relational and shepherding skills with compassion for families and youth.
- Ability to collaborate across ministry teams to implement strategic programs and initiatives.
