Job Description

Renviva is seeking a Dialysis Registered Nurse to make a difference in a hospital setting. You can make an exceptional difference in the lives of our patients and their families dealing with end‑stage renal failure for chronic kidney disease.

Dialysis experience preferred, including hemodialysis; peritoneal dialysis experience is a plus. The candidate must work independently and collaborate with nephrologists, hospitalists, and other hospital staff.

The role will be based at two hospitals—Freeport and Dixon, IL—and will include two weekdays of regular call and a weekend call every fifth weekend.

Registered Nurse with at least one year of hemodialysis experience. Salary commensurate with experience.

Function

As the Dialysis Registered Nurse, you will supervise and coordinate the smooth and effective daily operation of the dialysis units to maintain a safe, efficient environment and provide optimal patient care. You will be responsible for quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, teamwork, culture and employee satisfaction within the unit, and for supporting the corporation’s philosophy and policies.

Representative Duties
  • Demonstrate knowledge of policies and procedures related to dialysis RN work.
  • Coordinate and supervise patient care and daily operations at the dialysis units.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and encouragement to staff to develop professional standards.
  • Manage time and patient scheduling to optimize patient outcomes and control labor expense.
  • Assume responsibility and pursue opportunities for personal and professional growth.
  • Perform additional duties and specific projects to keep the unit functioning efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current active RN state licensure.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of one year of general nursing experience and at least six months of dialysis experience (preferred).
  • Excellent knowledge of water systems, bypass, and emergency water system procedures (preferred).
  • ICU/CCU experience desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, problem‑solving, and general management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for business travel.
  • Computer knowledge preferred.
  • Demonstrates reliability, good work habits, and emotional maturity.
  • Maintenance of current CPR certification per American Heart Association.
  • Availability to be contacted at home outside normal business operations.

    8‑hour shift, Monday to Friday. Every fifth weekend call. On‑call required.
