Travel Med-Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse

TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a Med Surg RN for a travel nursing assignment in Decatur, Texas.

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid the physician during examination and treatment of patients.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician.

• Registered Nurse (RN) with 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications (minimum 1 year).
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop without difficulty.
• Capable of lifting up to 20 pounds routinely, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
